Epic Sports Badminton Club is a badminton club in Scarborough, Toronto, that offers a wide range of facilities for training and group play. Programs & Activities

1. Team Training for Youth

The club offers team-based courses at 6 levels:

• Team1– High Performance: Focused on provincial and national competitions, for high-level players
• Team2– Pre-High Performance
• Team3– Competitive Development
• Team4– Pre-Competitive Development
• Team5– Intermediate
• Team6– Fundamental: Suitable for young players with basic skills, no entry test required.

An entry test is required for all teams except Team6 and courses are held in four seasons.

2. Adult Group Lessons

Three levels of training are offered:

• Fundamental (introductory without test)
• Intermediate and Advanced (requires entry test)

Absences from classes can only be made up if permitted and before the end of the season; cancellations after the start are not possible.

3. Private and Semi-Private Lessons

• Private Lessons: One instructor and one student
• Semi-Private Lessons: One instructor and two students

4. Summer Camps

• Summer camps for children and teens with instruction, fun, and competition.
• Registration for courses is done directly from the Camps section of the website and has typically been open for recent summers.

Features & Amenities

• It has 15 standard indoor badminton courts for professional and practice play.
• People use the street or local public parking.
• The indoor halls are equipped with proper lighting for playing and the usual club ventilation (ceiling ventilation system).
• It has a Pro Shop for the sale of Yonex rackets, rackets, shuttlecocks, clothes and racket stringing services.
• Special seating area, waiting area, ambidextrous use of equipment, compliance with club rules (for cleaning purposes, non-marking shoes, no food and drinks allowed in the hall).

1. Court Rental

• Log in to the website and go to the Court Rental section.
• You can reserve a court for any length of time (usually one hour).
• Cancellations are free of charge if made at least 48 hours in advance. Late cancellations will incur a fee.

2. Drop-In

• Go directly to the club at the designated times (meaning before 5pm on weekdays) and enter the game by paying in cash or online.

3. Club Hours:

• Monday to Thursday: 10:30am to 11:30pm
• Friday: until midnight
• Saturday and Sunday: 9:00am to 11:00pm

FAQs

What is the capacity of the classes and is it possible to make up for absences?

Team classes have a certain capacity and absences are only made up if there is space available until the end of the season.

Is it possible to drop in without a reservation?

Yes, you can use the courts for up to 2 hours via Drop-In, but it is not possible to use them on holidays or after 5 pm.
