Toronto Pan Am Sports Centre
The Toronto Pan Am Sports Centre, located at the University of Toronto Scarborough, is a world-class sports and health centre that was inaugurated as a sports heritage site in the region following the 2015 Pan American Games. The complex features two 50-metre Olympic-sized swimming pools, a diving pool with 3, 7.5 and 10-metre platforms, and a multi-purpose hall with four sports courts, an indoor running track, a climbing wall and a fully equipped fitness centre.
The site also provides facilities for competitive sports such as swimming, diving, synchronized swimming, fencing and modern pentathlon. The centre is also home to the Canadian Sports Science Institute (CSIO), which provides sports science and rehabilitation services. The complex is designed to be suitable for both public and professional use, while meeting LEED Gold standards for accessibility and sustainable design.
Programs & Activities
1. Group Fitness & Drop-Ins
TPASC offers an “all-inclusive” membership to a variety of group fitness classes, including:
- Zumba
- Tabata
- Bars & Plates
- Cycling
- Pilates
- Yoga
- and other fitness programs led by professional instructors.
Drop-In programs are also offered for families and children, such as:
- Family Badminton (ages 6 and up)
- Family Basketball (ages 6 and up)
- Rock Climbing Wall (ages 5 and up)
- Family Open Water Swimming
2. Adult Sports Leagues
TPASC runs a variety of amateur leagues for adults where individuals compete as teams in a variety of disciplines:
- Fall & Winter Basketball Leagues — 5-on-5 games, with set schedules, official rules, and online team registration.
- Court Volleyball League — Mixed gender Co-Ed league, 10-week New Year’s tournament, team or individual registration.
- Futsal League — 4-on-4 with goalie, two 25-minute halves.
3. Masters Swim Club Programs
Masters Swim Club is designed for adult swimmers. Practices consist of three weekly sessions:
- Monday night,
- Friday morning,
- Sunday afternoon;
each session includes 5 short or long swim lanes, with a limit of 30 swimmers per session. Online registration is available. Online forums also note that most classes are coach-led and are suitable for a variety of swimmer levels.

- Locker rooms and showers are available to the public. Free lockers are available for patrons, and it is recommended to bring your own lock.
- Although there is no direct evidence, the facility was designed to LEED Gold standards, which indicates the use of advanced systems such as energy-efficient LED lighting, rainwater harvesting, and high-efficiency ventilation systems.
- An indoor walking and running track is active in the complex.
- Professional trainers are available to provide training and coaching services.
TPASC Booking Steps
Register for Self-Service Portal
1. If you do not already have an account, first register for the [TPASC Self-Service Portal].
2. TPASC members or UTSC students/staff (with T-Card) must verify their credentials. Other users can register with a free account.
3. It is recommended that you install the TPASC mobile app for easier access to bookings, schedules, and notifications.
4. Once you are logged in to the portal or app, you can book activities such as group classes, pool reservations, gyms, rock climbing walls, and personal training.
5. The system allows bookings up to 48 hours in advance and cancellations up to 2 hours before the start of the booking.

7. Reserving Other Spaces (Pool, Gym, Climbing Wall):
- To rent a space such as the pool, climbing wall or Field House for groups or events, you must use the Rentals page.
- Rates vary and are calculated on an hourly (one-hour) basis. You must submit a formal request to receive pricing and terms.

Do you need to make a reservation in person to use the gym?
Sometimes you need to check-in, but you can usually just swipe your T-Card.
Is there a fee to use the lockers and showers?
No—lockers are free. It’s best to bring your own lock. Showers are also available in the locker rooms.
