The Village Green
The Village Green at UNSW Sydney is the largest open space on the Kensington campus and has recently been transformed into a modern sports and leisure facility. It provides facilities for a variety of team sports, individual training, social activities and relaxation. Features include a FIFA and rugby-standard 5-a-side football pitch with artificial turf, multi-purpose courts for basketball, netball and futsal, a 500m running track, outdoor sports equipment, a climbing wall, an indoor gym and a café. The space is designed to promote the physical and mental health of students, staff and the university community.

Programs & Activities
Learn to Play Classes: These classes are designed for beginners to learn basic skills in a variety of sports, including lacrosse, volleyball, basketball, and futsal. For .1 example, the “Learn to Play Lacrosse” class is held every Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. on the Village Green.
2. Social Sports: These programs include weekly leagues in a variety of sports that are non-competitive and fun. Some of these leagues include:
- Volleyball (Monday and Wednesday)
- Basketball (Monday and Thursday)
- Futsal (Tuesday and Thursday)
- Netball (Tuesday)
- Futsal (Monday)
SHE CAN Program: This program is specifically for women and is designed to increase female participation in college sports. Programs such as "Day of Play" and .3 "Intervarsity Competitions" are held under this program.
Intervarsity Competitions: These competitions provide an opportunity to compete against other universities in various sports. Students can participate in teams .4 representing UNSW.
