The Toronto Metropolitan University Recreation and Athletic Centre is one of the most advanced sports facilities at Toronto Metropolitan University, providing a modern and complete space for athletes and students. The centre includes multi-purpose gyms, a swimming pool, a gymnasium and indoor and outdoor sports fields. Professional facilities for team sports such as basketball, volleyball and soccer are available in this complex. A variety of sports classes including yoga, Pilates and cardio training are also held regularly. The complex has easy access and a motivating environment to maintain the health and increase the vitality of students. In addition, amenities such as a cafe and a relaxation area have been considered for the well-being of users.


Programs & Activities

  1. Sports Leagues and Team Activities: At RAC, intramural sports leagues are offered to all students. These leagues include sports such as basketball, volleyball, soccer, badminton, and track and field. Special programs are also designed to encourage women’s participation in team sports.
  2. Classes and Personal Development Programs: The “Learn To” program offers multi-week classes that include skills such as dance, self-defense, cooking, and yoga. These classes are designed for all levels and are held in an advanced, regularly scheduled manner.
  3. Group Classes and Fitness: RAC’s group class program includes over 25 weekly classes that are available free of charge to all students and active members of the university. These classes include cardio, strength training, dance, kickboxing, and yoga.
  4. Sports and Competitive Clubs: TMU offers more than 10 competitive and recreational sports clubs, including badminton, archery, karate, kendo, dance, tennis, trick jumping, and running. These clubs are designed for those interested in both team and individual sports.

Collection reservation

1. Login to the booking portal:

  • Students log in using their my.tmu.ca account.
  • Non-student members should contact [email protected] to obtain a “Member ID.”


2. Select an activity:

  • Select the icon for the activity you are interested in.
  • Indicate the desired day and time.


3. Register:

  • Click “Register.”
  • Complete the payment process.
  • A confirmation page will be displayed and a confirmation email will be sent to your email address.
