Kerrisdale Community Centre
Kerrisdale Community Centre is a comprehensive venue for a variety of recreational, social and sporting activities in Vancouver. The centre offers facilities such as a swimming pool, gym, library and exercise room. For children, there are programs such as Sportball Multisport and Sportball Parent & Child, which teach motor and social skills in a fun way. Adults can also enjoy recreational programs such as Pickleball and Basketball, and teenagers can play friendly games with the Badminton (Youth) program. The complex provides a suitable space for physical development, strengthening social skills and purposeful activity for different age groups.
Programs & Activities
- Group Fitness – TBC: Advanced class focusing on strengthening and stability using bodyweight exercises and equipment such as a fitness ball, dumbbells and bands. For adults 16 and up.
- Adapted Fitness: Special class for seniors with limited mobility or mobility aids; exercises include strength, flexibility and balance, performed seated or in a chair.
- Group Fitness – Zumba: Zumba class with energetic Latin and international music; suitable for adults 16 and up.
- Group Fitness – Gentle Fit: Gentle exercises to increase mobility without too much pressure; all exercises can be done seated.
- Active Hip Hop, Dance, Stretch & Strength (PraiseTEAM): Hip hop dance with stretching and strengthening for teens (ages 9–17); includes cardio, flexibility and core strengthening.
- KBL Co-Ed Basketball League: Co-ed basketball league for adults (19+); Games are held every Sunday in the gym.

- Indoor Pool: Available to rent lanes or the entire pool for groups; depth and temperature information available ﹙Length: Approximately 30.5 meters, width: 12.8 meters, water temperature approximately 29 °C.
- Exercise Room: Equipped with a variety of aerobic machines (such as treadmills, ellipticals, stationary bikes, etc.) and strength equipment with facilities such as free weights, exercise machines, and stretching areas. There is also a water fill station, locker room, and lockers for storing clothes and personal items.
- Green space and outdoor area: Surrounding the center, green space such as a hybrid tea rose garden and a playground in Centennial Park are located.
- Space rental options: Includes rental of halls for events, meetings, weddings, parties, and other occasions with the possibility of using equipment such as whiteboards and kitchen facilities (in some rooms and for an additional fee).
- Parking: The center has a parking lot on 42nd Boulevard and there is also street parking around it.
How To Book
To reserve a space at Kerrisdale Community Centre, first visit the Room Rentals section of the centre’s website and complete an online reservation request with basic information. After the initial inspection, if applicable, you will be required to complete a rental agreement and pay a refundable deposit. The full rental amount is due two weeks prior to the reservation date. If you are planning a Play Palace Birthday Parties, you can do so through your Vancouver Park Board account or by calling the centre’s dedicated phone number.

Registration is done through the City of Vancouver’s ActiveNet. Simply create an account, select the program you want, and pay online. You can also visit the center’s reception in person.
