Centre for Sport and Wellness at Capilano University

The Centre for Sport and Wellness at Capilano University in North Vancouver, Canada, provides a modern space for students, staff and faculty to engage in sports and wellness activities. The complex includes a fully equipped gymnasium that is used by the university’s sports teams and recreational activities. Students can use their free time to play basketball, badminton, pickleball and other sports. The Capilano Basketball League (CBL) also provides opportunities for recreational and competitive basketball. The university’s sports programs include group workouts such as spin classes and circuit training, personal training with experienced coaches, and team activities in sports such as soccer, volleyball, cricket and badminton. All of these services are available free of charge to students, staff and faculty.



Programs & Activities

  1. Capilano Basketball League (CBL): The Capilano University Basketball League is a recreational and competitive league held in the fall and spring seasons. All games are refereed and scored. The league is open to anyone 18 years of age and older and can be registered as a team. Teams must wear matching jerseys with numbers.
  2. Intramurals: Intramurals programs include team sports such as badminton, cricket, soccer, and volleyball, designed for fun and friendly competition. These programs provide a great opportunity to get physically active and connect with others.
  3. Group Fitness: Group fitness classes include spin and circuit training designed to build strength and endurance. These classes are open to students, staff, and the public and are held in a group setting.
  4. Personal Training: Personal training with experienced trainers is an opportunity to achieve your fitness goals. These programs are designed individually and according to personal needs.

  2. Join and complete the waiver form: After creating an account, you must complete your membership and fill out the online waiver form. Membership is free for students, staff and faculty of the university. General members can complete their membership by paying a certain fee.
  3. Book and use the facilities: After completing the above steps, you can use the various facilities of the Centre for Sport and Wellness complex. You can use the complex’s live calendar to view various programs and schedules.
