Pacific Indoor Bowls Club, located in Vancouver, British Columbia (Canada), is a modern, world-class indoor lawn bowling facility; a fast, World Bowls-certified lane, the only facility of its kind in North America. Founded in 1938, the club moved to its current location at the Millennium Sports Centre in 2005 and now offers a full range of facilities for players of all levels, from beginners to competitive. PIBC hosts the prestigious Pacific Coast Open, a five-day competition featuring singles and doubles with substantial prize money. In addition to tournaments, the club also runs a variety of leagues, including Aussie Pairs, Mixed Triples, Singles and Intermediate Pairs, on various days and levels.

Programs & Activities

1. The various weekly leagues at PIBC include:

Singles which are held in two slots: “Monday Evening Singles” and “Thursday Evening Singles”, as well as Tuesday Morning Aussie Pairs, Wednesday Morning Triples, Wednesday Afternoon Intermediate Pairs, Thursday Morning Pairs, Friday Morning Aussie Pairs, Friday Afternoon Inter-club, Saturday Morning Pairs and Sunday Morning Pairs.

2. Spring-specific leagues are also listed in the “Spring Leagues Results” which include:

• Monday Morning Triples
• Monday Evening Singles
• Tuesday Morning Aussie Pairs
• Wednesday Morning Triples
• Wednesday Afternoon Pairs
• Thursday Morning Pairs
• Thursday Evening Singles

3. Managed practice schedules are also available outside of league hours, with designated practice sessions as detailed on the club rules page.

4. In addition to leagues and practices, the special TEAM SIX competition is also held in the summer—a knockout tournament with multiple players (6 players, necessarily mixed gender) from the same outdoor club as a team, featuring Singles, Pairs and Triples matches to determine the winning team.

5. The popular Pacific Coast Open is also held at tournament level, featuring:

Mixed Pairs and Open Singles divisions, with five days of competition and substantial cash prizes
