Tourmaline West Stadium at the University of British Columbia (UBC) in Vancouver, Canada, is the first artificial AstroTurf baseball field in British Columbia, offering state-of-the-art facilities for a variety of sports. Designed specifically for the UBC Thunderbirds baseball team, the stadium features four AstroTurf bullpens, four removable mounds, and a video screen on the right field wall. In addition to baseball, the stadium's outdoor space is also available for flag football, softball, and Ultimate Frisbee.

How To Book

1. Event Booking Request Form:

• For short-term or one-off activities and events such as sports tournaments.
• Reservations must be made at least 10 days in advance of the desired date.
• Once the reservation is confirmed, a 50% non-refundable deposit will be taken and the balance must be paid at least 30 days prior to the event.

2. Seasonal Booking Request Form:

• For ongoing or periodic bookings such as weekly practices or league games.
• Reservations must be made at least one month prior to the start of the course.
• Applications are accepted for the Spring and Summer season (April 1 to August 31) and for the Fall and Winter season (September 1 to April 30) applications are accepted in advance.

3. Booking Steps

• Choose the appropriate form based on the type of event or course.
• Complete the online form with detailed information including the event name, date and time, desired space (e.g. full field, heritage room, locker rooms, etc.), number of participants, activity description, and additional equipment requests.
• Submit completed form for review and approval.
• Once approved, contract will be sent and 50% deposit must be paid by phone or through UBC Recreation online profile.
