Ancaster Community Centre
Ancaster Community Centre in North York, Toronto, is a community-based centre with indoor facilities such as a gymnasium, multi-purpose rooms and planned spaces. The centre hosts a variety of programs, including indoor sports such as basketball, fitness classes, group games and arts and education activities for all ages. It is also supported by the Toronto Department of Recreation and Sport and offers registration facilities for activities such as swimming, art, dance and winter programs.

- Drop-in Basketball: Offered one special day each week, for children, teens, and adults.
- Children's Sports Classes: Including general sports and basketball for children.
- Racquet Sports Classes: Offered for children and adults, including activities such as badminton or tennis.
- Fitness & Wellness Programs: Including activities such as yoga, aerobics, and other general sports for adults.
- Art Classes and Other General Programs: Such as arts and crafts, dance, music, performing arts, and creative programs for different age groups.

- How to book a space at the Community Centre
- You will first need to log in to the City of Toronto’s new “Online Registration & Booking” system. Even if you already have an account, you will need to reactivate or register.
- To use the Centre’s halls, multi-purpose rooms or sports fields, you can use the “Book a Facility” option. This option is available on the “Parks & Recreation Facilities Booking” page.
- One-Time Booking: Suitable for short-term use such as meetings, games or small events.
- Seasonal & League Booking: Suitable for regular, long-term programs such as sports leagues.
- If a time or space is not available or you have specific questions, you can contact the Centre directly. A 50% deposit is also required for one-time bookings, with the balance due three weeks prior to the event.
Register for Sports Programs or Classes
- Pre-registered programs (such as swimming, art, sports, dance, etc.): These programs can be registered online or by phone. Online registration begins at 7 a.m. on the day of registration.
- Drop-in sports programs (such as basketball or other sports that do not require prior reservations): For these programs, you can view available locations and times via the online "Drop-in Sports Map" and make a reservation by selecting the "Reserve a Spot" option. Reservations are usually released every Thursday at 8 a.m. for the following week.
