The Ethennonnhawahstihnen’ Community Recreation Centre & Library is located in Concord Park Place, North York, Toronto and is designed as a multi-purpose urban cultural and sports centre:

The centre is scheduled to open in 2023 and will include a wide range of facilities: a 25-metre six-lane indoor pool for a variety of swimming and aquatics programs, a Double Gymnasium with an indoor running track, dance and fitness studios, and multi-purpose rooms for sports such as basketball, badminton, volleyball, pickleball and indoor soccer.

In addition to the sports space, the centre will also house a branch of the Toronto Public Library, a fitness and cardio room (weights and aerobics), yoga, Zumba and tai chi studios, as well as a teaching kitchen and art room for cultural and social programs.

Classes & Workshops

  • Swimming and Hydrotherapy Programs: Includes “Learn to Swim,” Leisure and Lane Swim, and Aquatic Fitness classes offered at the center on a Reserve a Spot basis.
  • Group Sports Activities (Drop-in & Registered Sports): Includes sports such as badminton, basketball, volleyball, pickleball, indoor soccer, and table tennis, some of which are managed on a drop-in basis and some by registration.
  • Fitness and Dance Classes: Programs including Yoga, Zumba, Tai Chi, Pilates, Kickboxing, Step Class, and programs such as Afro and Soca Fusion for adults and teens are held in specialized studios.
  • Cultural-Organizational and Educational Programs for Children: Activities including art, cooking, language, hybrid games, coding, creativity workshops, and classes such as Chess and Finance for adults and children are offered in multi-purpose rooms.
  • Special programs for teens and seniors: including special girls'/senior hour sessions, after-school classes, social programs, afternoons, and other suggested times for specific age groups.


How to book

1. Create an account

First, you must register with the City of Toronto’s Online Registration & Booking system or activate an existing account. To register, visit the website, enter your name, email, and password, and confirm.

2. Search and select a program

Once logged in, search for the name of the facility or activity you are interested in (e.g., “Aquatic Fitness” or “Pickleball”) to view schedules, capacity, and program type.

3. Register for a program or class

For registered programs: Select Enroll Now, select participants, and add to cart. For drop-in activities: such as swimming, group exercise, or fitness, registration is completed at checkout after spot booking.

4. Pay and confirm reservation

Payment is made online; bring an electronic/printed receipt with you upon completion. You must be present 5 minutes after the class starts, otherwise the spot will be released.

5. Cancellation or Withdrawal

Online cancellation is possible up to one day in advance (for Reserve a Spot booked programs).

FAQs

Do I need to make a reservation?

For Drop-In Basketball, you don’t need to make a reservation; just show up and have a valid day pass or membership.


Are there any formal basketball classes or leagues?

Formal basketball registration programs (such as House Leagues or Clinics) can be registered through the Registered Programs system. Group reservations are also available for city leagues.
